No — anyone can submit a report through their mobile browser with zero downloads and zero accounts. Scanning the QR code opens a webpage instantly. The NotifyMeRV app is for vehicle owners — not reporters. This is intentional — the fewer barriers to reporting, the more likely someone actually reports a problem with your RV.

Within 60 seconds in normal conditions. SMS via Twilio and email via SendGrid fire simultaneously the moment a report is submitted. You do not need the app to receive SMS and email alerts — those work from the moment you register.

Three ways — unique ID number printed on your sticker (for example NMR-100001), QR code scan using any phone camera which opens the report page instantly, or license plate and province or state lookup if your plate is registered. All three methods reach you in the same way — instant SMS and email alert.

Our anti-spam system limits the same device to one notification per vehicle per two-hour window. A maximum of five notifications per vehicle per hour applies regardless of reporter. All reports are still recorded in our system but notifications are suppressed after the limit is reached. Two things override the filter — a photo attached to the report because that is new evidence worth seeing, or a different issue type reported because that is genuinely new information about your vehicle.

Every photo submitted is automatically scanned by AWS Rekognition AI before it is stored or delivered. Content flagged as inappropriate is automatically blocked. Every text note submitted is also screened by OpenAI's content moderation API. This two-layer system ensures only legitimate issue photos and messages reach you. Photos are delivered via the NotifyMeRV app push notification — not SMS — to ensure full quality and protect against inappropriate content reaching your device.

But the app adds significant value on top of that — full quality photos from reporters delivered via push notification, GPS location shown on a live map, your complete alert history at a glance, vehicle management, and biometric login for fast secure access. Photos are only delivered through the app because it is cheaper than MMS, delivers full quality, and is more secure than an SMS attachment.

Yes — the NotifyMeRV app is free to download on the App Store and Google Play. Your annual registration covers everything including app access. There are no additional charges for using the app.

Never. Your name, phone number, and email address are never shown to reporters or returned by any part of our system. This is enforced at the database level — not just policy. Reporters see only confirmation that their report was received and the owner was notified. They never know who you are.

Your license plate is encrypted using AES-256 encryption at rest — the same standard used by banks. It is never stored in plain text. Plate lookup is only available for plates whose owners have voluntarily registered them with NotifyMeRV. We do not access any government database or external license plate registry.

NotifyMe is fully compliant with PIPEDA — the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act. We collect only the data necessary to provide the service. Data is stored in encrypted Canadian cloud servers. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting info@notifymerv.com. We respond to all requests within 30 days.

SMS alerts comply with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and the US Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). Your consent to receive SMS alerts is obtained during registration and documented in our system. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any SMS or updating your preferences in your account. All emails include a functioning unsubscribe link and comply with CASL and the US CAN-SPAM Act.

Yes. Under PIPEDA you have the right to request deletion of your personal information. Contact us at info@notifymerv.com and we will process your request within 30 days. Deleting your account removes your personal information from our active systems. Some data may be retained in anonymized form for safety and fraud prevention purposes as outlined in our Privacy Policy.

NotifyMeRV is $20 USD or $25 CAD per vehicle per year. That covers one vehicle or property registration, your weatherproof sticker, all SMS and email alerts, and access to the owner portal. Founding members who join our waitlist will receive their first year free and have their pricing locked for life.

You will receive a confirmation email immediately. When NotifyMeRV launches — founding members are first to be notified with a link to register their vehicle at no charge for the first year. Your founding member pricing is then locked for life as long as your subscription remains active.

NotifyMeRV stickers are weatherproof vinyl with UV-resistant gloss laminate — rated for 5 years of outdoor exposure. The QR code uses Level H error correction meaning it remains scannable even if up to 30% of the sticker is damaged or dirty. Your annual subscription covers 12 months regardless of season — which means your seasonal site protection is active even when your RV is parked for the winter. Many of our members find the seasonal site protection is most valuable precisely during the off-season when nobody is watching their RV. If you need to cancel, you can do so at any time through your account portal.
