NotifyMe LLC (a Wyoming limited liability company) operates NotifyMeRV. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Because our servers are located in Canada, your information is handled in line with Canadian privacy standards.
1. Who we are
NotifyMeRV is a safety-alert service for RV owners. A weatherproof sticker on your RV lets anyone who spots a problem send you an instant alert, without downloading an app. NotifyMeRV is operated by NotifyMe LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. You can reach us any time at info@notifymerv.com.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details — your name, email address, and mobile phone number, so we can create your account and send alerts.
- Vehicle details — information about the RV or property you register, and optionally a license plate and province/state if you choose to enable plate lookup.
- Payment information — your subscription is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; Stripe handles it securely on our behalf.
Information from people who report a problem
- When someone scans your sticker or enters your ID, they can submit a short description, the issue type, an optional photo, and the location where they spotted the problem. This information is sent to you as an alert.
- Reporters are not required to create an account or identify themselves. We do not share your name, phone number, or email with them.
Information we collect automatically
- Basic technical and usage data — such as device or browser type, and limited log data — to keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and understand how it is used.
3. How we use your information
- To deliver alerts to you by SMS and email, and to show you your alert history.
- To create and manage your account and process your subscription.
- To screen submitted photos and notes for inappropriate content before they reach you.
- To prevent spam, fraud, and misuse, and to keep the service safe and reliable.
- To respond to your questions and send you service-related messages.
4. How we share information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only in these limited situations:
- Service providers — trusted companies that help us run the service (for example, payment processing, SMS and email delivery, and cloud hosting), who may only use your information to perform work for us.
- Legal reasons — if required by law, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of our users or the public.
- Business transfers — if the business is sold or reorganized, your information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
The providers we rely on today, and where each one processes information:
- Supabase — database and application hosting — Canada (Montreal region)
- Vercel — website hosting — United States / global edge network
- Resend — email delivery, including internal notifications to our team — United States
- Anthropic (Claude) — AI-assisted handling of enquiries and internal operations — United States
- Stripe — payment processing — United States
- Twilio — SMS alert delivery — United States
- Google Analytics — website usage measurement, only with consent — United States
- Microsoft 365 — business email and correspondence — United States and Canada
Each provider is bound by a data-processing agreement requiring it to protect the information and use it only for the purposes we specify.
5. Where your information is stored
Information you submit — including a waitlist signup or a report — is stored in a database hosted in Canada (Montreal region).
Several of the providers listed in section 4 process information in the United States, notably Resend, which delivers notifications to our team, and Anthropic (Claude), which we use for AI-assisted handling of enquiries. Where information is processed in the United States it may be subject to lawful access by U.S. authorities. Each provider is bound by a data-processing agreement requiring a comparable level of protection, and NotifyMe LLC remains accountable for your information at all times.
6. How long we keep it
- Waitlist signups and enquiries — 24 months, unless you become a customer or ask us to remove you sooner.
- Form rate-limiting counters — 48 hours, stored as a one-way hash. No IP address or email address is kept.
- Reports and alerts — up to 3 years, so you can review your history and for safety records.
- Photos submitted with reports — up to 12 months.
- Account information — for as long as your account is active, and up to 2 years after you close it.
- Technical logs — up to 90 days.
Some information may be kept longer in anonymized form for safety and fraud-prevention purposes.
7. Your choices and rights
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. To opt out of alerts, reply STOP to any text message or update your account preferences. To make a request, email us at info@notifymerv.com — we respond within 30 days.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, and we limit who can access it. No online service can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security — but we work to protect your information and to notify you if a serious issue ever affects it.
9. Children
NotifyMeRV is intended for adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of majority in their province or state.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use NotifyMeRV after an update means you accept the revised policy.
